Home Up

Just so you know, I am not a carpenter.  I built this on the fly, assuming that I needed a pole every 10 foot across and every 8 foot deep.

I then used cross pieces for the roof line and screwed down 1 12' overlapped with 1 8' sheet metal roofing.

For the fencing, I used heavy gauge no-climb up to 5 feet.  I also put 1/8" thick cattle fencing on the floor and stapled it to the side boards so that nothing can come up underneath.

Home Depot sold 2" X 1" X 8' pieces of wood for $1 each.  I cut these into thirds and used them at the top so that not animal could jump over.  It also looked nice.

On the inside, I put 8' and 10' cattle gates to make pens.  The gates can be lifted off if not needed.  Depending upon which way they are swung, they can make a myriad of pens.

At the end of the shelter, I put a floor in one 1/8th of the shelter for the feed and supplies.  Behind this, I made a hay loft and underneath, a cria creep.

I don't have plans since I made it on the fly, but you should be able to tell how to build it from the pictures.
